I initially called Always There Computer Repair to fix a speed issue with my PC that was running so slow to a point where I could not’t even get onto the Internet. All the normal signs looked good and there did not’t seem to be an issue with the registry. I opted to have Keith take my PC home with him in order to have him do a more thorough check. After a day Keith called me with an update stating that everything looked fine, no viruses or Trojans but he noticed that my CPU was running hot (old single core) at 75-80 degree Celsius, normal 60. He popped the CPU off and noticed that in the OEM manufacturing carelessly globed a paste for the CPU bedding rather then using the current tape method. After the tape the temperature reading dropped back down to the normal 60 degree Celsius. The speed was back to its normal pace again. I also informed Keith about an issue with some of my peripherals not registering with my stock USN ports. Between Keith and my knowledge of computer it seemed very puzzling. The USN ports on my USN card was the only ones working. I settled with that and started using my PC like before. Three weeks in and my PC started acting up again running at a slow pace with a hot CPU. At this point I started getting frustrated with these store bought OEM computers and asked Keith to build me a custom dual core PC. Keith informed me that the components he uses in his custom builds are reputable and have an impeccable reliability rate among users. Unlike the store bought PC’s where component vendors with the lowest bid gets the sale mentality. OEM, store bought PC’s also incorporate a (PO) planned obsolescence into their products in order to secure future sales. Good for them bad for the consumer. The custom route also assured me that I have a unit that is upgradeable in the future which is nice to know that it’s going to be awhile that my PC will ever see a landfill. The cost comparison between a custom PC and the store bought model is also impressive with a price point difference of about $600 cheaper all with select components. Keith assembled my PC and performed all the tests before delivery. He also transferred all documents and settings so that my desk top environment looks familiar which is great for novice users. He’ll also follow up with a call a week later to see how the unit is performing as a courtesy. Keith seems to spend more time with your PC issues then what he charges which is kind of like a meter focused on effective time with no charge on non effective time. What you get is a reasonable charge for his rates. <Click Here to Read More of This Testimony>
